This educational video series called ‘This Is How We Do It’ was part of a campaign called ‘Well Played’, which came under the broader Humans of Sport in SA movement. The specific focus of this series was to create a number of ‘how to’ videos around disability in sport. These videos were aimed at upskilling and providing tools and inspiration for sporting clubs, umpires, parents and potential athletes about best practice when it comes to including and interacting with athletes who have a disability. Unlike a lot of other similar campaigns, we chose to use people with a disability to talk about these critical issues (rather than ‘experts’ who had studied/worked in the field, but who were not disabled and had never played sport with a disability). This series will become part of an online course run by Inclusive Sport SA.
Well Played was an initiative of Inclusive Sports SA that gained funding through the NDIS (thanks to the success of Give Media’s initial social media campaign for Humans of Sport in SA).
